Blankets, bargains and balmy days.....

Reasons to be cheerful number one...

The evenings are dark & chilly. I was so tired last night that Steve suggested I went to bed to watch TV and he would bring me a cup of tea in bed. Lovely. I was so cold we pulled a warm blanket from the airing cupboard and added that to the bed. Warm as toast :) Simple pleasures are often the best.

Reasons to be cheerful number two...

A local pharmacist is a really honest and fair chap and sells products that are fairly sourced and affordable. So I could afford a treat last week; cerise gloves and a facial!

Reasons to be cheerful number three...

The nights may be cold but on the whole the days are blustery but the wind is warm & it is sunny. The garden does not know whether it is coming or going! I have roses in bloom and throwing out more buds and Summer bedding continues to blaze. More poppies have appeared and so have the weeds!

Meanwhile this polyanthus; home grown and biding it's time in a pot at the back of the greenhouse, has decided it must surely be Spring....

This clematis has decided to offer a third round of blooms behind the acer which is beginning to consider more Autumnal colours. ..

There is a mix and match approach to the seasons round here.

Much love and muddledness,

L.x.

Sorry you were tired, but warm blankets and tea in bed sounds very nice. I have done a bit of snuggling in bed the last few days, have had a poorly tummy, (regular thing for me), the downside is that the packing is not getting done quickly enough, guess it will all come together. Keep warm and snug, and take care. Ali. xx

Hi Ali - yes feeling much better - too much whooping it up at the dance :)It was funny at church on Sunday you could tell who had been at the dance we all winced as we got up and down to sing hymns - lol! One hymn was "I could sing & dance for joy for Jesus" I turned to my hubby and said, "I'll just sing!" "With these knees? Me too!" he grinned.
Hope you are feeling better. Am sure the packing will get done in time - it just never feels that way does it - until the last day.
Much love,
L.x.

Your garden is still amazing, Lynn!
Even though I've already had my coffee, I think I need a cup of tea before I get going this morning!
A facial sounds divine! I've only had two but they make this tough old face feel good!
Love you!

Hi Pom Pom - my facial is just a DIY at home one :) Never had a proper one - I can't bear other people messing with me - lol!
Have a lovely day!
